SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif., Jan. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Seagate
(Nasdaq: STX) today announced that Business Solutions Magazine, a leading
channel publication focused on U.S. value added resellers (VARs) and
integrators, has named Seagate as the Best Channel Vendor in the storage
category.

The Best Channel Vendor recognition was based on a Web-based survey of
1,600 Business Solutions Magazine subscribers. To ensure statistical accuracy,
scores were calculated by Penn State University and the magazine's editorial
staff.

Seagate received high marks in each of the six vendor-partner categories:
Product Features, Reliability and Innovation; Service/Support; Channel
Friendliness; Channel Program Quality; and Adequacy of VAR Margins. Seagate
was rated the top vendor in the Storage category. Other technology categories
included VoIP, Wireless & Mobility, Networking, Data Collection Hardware, Data
Collection Media, General Computing, Managed Services, Payment Processing, POS
Hardware, POS Software, and Security.
