| Governor to Urge Prompt Action on Relief and Recovery Budget Proposal Governor Edward G. Rendell will meet with homeowners who have been able to keep their homes through the help of Pennsylvania's Home Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8, at the Northwest Counseling Service office, 5001 N. Broad St., Philadelphia. Last month, Governor Rendell redirected an additional $5 million to HEMAP to help approximately 550 more families avoid mortgage foreclosure. It was one of several actions taken by the Governor to provide immediate economic relief to Pennsylvanians.
